||
|
Who can apply? Any EOYDC participant who is a high school or GED graduate, may apply for a scholarship to attend a 2 or 4 year institution. Additionally, EOYDC participants may apply for a renewal scholarship throughout their college experience; masters program etc.
Are there per household limitations? No. Everyone in the household will be individually considered based on whether they meet the current requirements.
Who is considered an EOYDC participant? We consider anyone who has taken an active (minimum of 2 to 3 times a week) part in any program or departmental function offered here at the Center for at least 6 months prior to filling out an application.
What must scholarship funds be used for? You may use the funds to help cover the cost for books, tuition, bus passes or any other essentials, it’s up to you.
Is there a deadline for applying for a scholarship? Since the scholarship committee currently meets in April, anytime prior to this is okay.
What denominations are the scholarships available in? From $250 to $2000
How are the scholarship recipients selected? An EOYDC participant fills out a scholarship application and interviews with a group of advisors for EOYDC.
Do I need to have a letter of acceptance or proof of enrollment? Preferably yes, but it is not an absolute requirement at this time.
Must I be full time? Yes, as determined by the standards set forth by the school; no exceptions.
What if there is a change of plans and I decide not to attend. If you decide to drop (not switch) classes so as not to be considered full time, you will be required to return the funds.
Should the need arise, are recipients eligible to reapply for more funds? Yes, as long as we can, we will try to help you reach your educational goal. Also, be prepared to share with us your educational development since the last scholarship. |
