When I first started working for the EOYDC my main focus was finishing school and moving on into the corporate world. After being here a few months working with youth and seeing how they gravitate towards the staff of the center, I started realizing that this was more than a job. It was a family. A family motivated for change, not only in ourselves, but also in the youth of this community. Not many people can say they enjoy going to work each day, but I think everyone here can say working for the EOYDC is the best job they have ever had.

The EOYDC has also taught me patience and work decorum. I have had a chance to meet top executives as well as entertainers and athletes while here at the center. When we go to formal events or outside venues I hold my head up proud knowing I work for the center. Some of the most rewarding benefits of the job are seeing how some of these youth change as they get older, and to know that you had some part in either helping them prepare for college, getting a job or even just giving them words of encouragement is a reward that can not be explained.

The EOYDC has been a special and life changing venue for me. If someone asked me, what is one aspect of my life I am most proud of, I would say applying for a job at the EOYDC.
